CHINA Detainment Camps: Zeroed Out or Building? Not Much Twitter News - But We Can Find It If We Look For it
Several major China cities Eased Local Coronavirus Mitigation Measures Following Protests over ‘Zero COVID’ Strategy.
After riots and protests, several major China cities eased local coronavirus measures on their ‘Zero COVID’ strategy, leaving people standing in one line or another:
“We're pleased to learn that the Chinese authorities are adjusting their current strategies and really tried to calibrate now the control measures that they need for this virus with the lives, the livelihoods and the human rights of people in communities,” WHO’s Mike Ryan said at a press conference on Friday.”
All people detained in #Covid_19 camps in #Shijiazhunag city #CCPChina are to be released (zeroed out from the camps) by midnight, Dec 2.

Translated from Chinese by Google:
All those detained at the Shenzhen quarantine point will be released by midnight on December 2. I hope that Xi Jinping heard it because the commotion became louder, otherwise he should eat and sleep. That is to say, the movement must be heard by Xi Jinping to be effective. It is not enough to just curse people, nor is it enough to go to one person alone. This is experience.
Another reply, just 2 hours ago as people stand in line for a COVID test:
Above: Standing in line for a COVID test today.
Perhaps some quarantine camps are removing citizens and others are rounding them up? My understanding is that the CCP charges citizens who are quarantined for being COVID +. It seems the government is making a lot of money on both the tests and housing. Why would they want to vacate the camps?
Pray for China
We pray that China citizens keep safe, keep protesting if needed. If they are taken into custody, bless them with protection against physical harm.
Let the people gain confidence and hope that their future may be changed.
Bless them and keep them under your wings.
Xi Expresses Frustration with Protests
The latest wave of demonstrations in China is viewed as unprecedented since the Tiananmen Square pro-democracy movement of 1989. CNN cites Xi is frustrated with the protests, hinting he may relax rules, according to an EU official:
“Xi also said Omicron is less deadly than Delta, which makes the Chinese government feel more open to further relaxing Covid restrictions,” the EU official said.”
Omicron hit in January… so this is almost one year too late.
Foreign officials have noted Beijing’s shift on pandemic restrictions. US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said Friday that the widespread protests in China “had an effect” in loosening some Covid rules.
Speaking at an event at American University, Sherman noted that the protests had died down, and said part of the reason why is because “they actually had an effect,” citing the example of China letting people quarantine at home.
“At the same time, I’m naïve, and the Chinese used their security forces to put the protests down,” she added.
“So this is not an all good news story,” Sherman said. “But protests do matter.”
Uhm, yes, protests do matter.
I cannot confirm whether or not this man was afraid of getting COVID from a camp, nor whether he tested negative for four consecutive days, but no matter what, these tactics are unacceptable and violate human rights.
I’m not sure how the camera man or woman was able to go unnoticed, but one can see the two men in white were not paying attention to her at all. We thank her for making this video and hope that she is still safe.
Let’s keep our freedoms.
