No, this was back in 2003 and I didn’t know that about the cord. His 🌬 womb went with him to Heaven in 2011. I gave all of him back, bless his soul. He was polished and it was an honor having him in our lives.
In the animal kingdom the mother's eat all the birthing materials, womb I know, maybe the umbilical cord too. I don't think anyone would want to do that though. 😫. Sometimes the mothers wait til the umbilical cord dries up. I'd do that.
Thank you. Tried to have a birth plan. The Marine Corp -Naval Hospital -California does not respect a mother's birth plan. It was not a great experience or me or my baby. One good thing out of it was the fee of $76 total hospital stay 4 days.

I did not know I could have my placenta at each birth and did not know the hospital makes money selling something not theirs.

Best way to have babies is at home with a midwife. We don't need to give hospitals anything to profit from and doesn't cost us big money either. I know of several who during covid who had thier babies right at home. Goes to show we dont need big corporations to survive. Not even for food, or any else i can think of. The people can do a good job of taking care of each other and thats a beautiful thing!
