A jihadist organization called the Islamic State Khorasan Province (IS-K), claimed responsibility. At this stage, experts view the claim as convincing. This is the same IS-K organization that claimed responsibility for the 2021 attack on Kabul Airport as the US withdrew from Afghanistan.
