Addendum December 2, 2023: The woman has 100% burns over her entire body and is in the ICU and a security guard was injured on his wrists and is expected to recover.

Today, please pray for the woman who set herself on fire to make a political statement, as reported by Fox News 26 in Houston just hours ago.

A Palestinian protester in Atlanta went to extreme lengths to spread her message. Police say the woman walked in front of the building housing the Israeli Consulate, draped herself on (sic) a Palestinian flag, poured gasoline on herself, and then lit herself on fire.

A guy did this at the Pentagon during the Vietnam war. Sure it didn’t end the war but it sure rattled McNamara to see that outside his window. Buddhist Vietnamese priests did a similar protest when the US was involved in Vietnam. This is not a rare form of protest albeit extreme… for some truly desperate people this may seem the only way people will listen to them.

This is in imitation of the Buddhist monks who set themselves on fire during the Vietnam War to show that too much attachment to the material world only leads to suffering. While the U.S. was fighting to control a foreign nation and its resources the monks were saying with their actions that true Enlightenment resides in Conscious Wisdom and not in so much attachment to the material world that you're willing to kill other human life for it. The monks were we are truly free of your violence, greed, abd (sic) suffering. I'm not endorsing this behavior just trying to explain it. People can look self immolation as protest up for themselves to get a clearer understanding.

Same thing that's wrong with the monks, they're godless. They don't want to luve by the Ten Commandments. They think they know a better way than Christ. Palestinians too. Jews too. If you're not a Christian, your spiritual future is pretty bleak. They don't have the peace Christ brings to His followers hearts. That's what's wrong with all of them.
