Who plan evil things in their hearts, they continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; the poison of asps is under their lips.

Psalms 140: 1-8

Darkness versus Light

This is the battle of good versus evil, dark forces against the light, lies against truth. The ultimate liar is Satan, and his enemy is Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

And some do not serve God, but Satan himself.

1 Timothy 5:15

Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan.

Revelation 3:9

I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.

Lies versus Truth

Satan disguises himself as truth. The antichrist will be a river of lies bringing false truth.

2 Corinthians 11:14

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

The Spiritual Battle

This is the ultimate spiritual battle of where we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the wiles of the wicked one.

Ephesians 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Here, the light knows the weapons of darkness used by the evil one, Satan. He is the prince of this world, who holds dominion over all things earthly.

God Prepared us for This Fight

God gave us:

• The helmet of salvation,

• The breastplate of faith and love, righteousness,

• Garments of vengeance (Old Testament),

• A cloak of zeal (Old Testament),

• The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Isaiah 59:17

He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.

Ephesians 6:17

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:8

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

John 12:3

Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

Our Biggest Defensive Weapon: The Word of God

This is why reading, knowing, and memorizing Scripture is so important:

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart.

Mark 4:15

Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

We must keep the Word of God before our eyes and deep into our souls, so that it is constantly sharpened.

In The End, God Wins

We need to be aware and beware of Satan the evil one, and his battlefield tactics, for we are in a battle - and he seeks to devour us.

1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Romans 16:20

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Isaiah 40:23

He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.

Isaiah 65:17

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

Revelation 20:2

He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

The Judgment of Satan

The Judgment of Satan

⁷ When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison ⁸ and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. ⁹ They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Have No Fear

We need not have fear but put all our hope and faith in God, because He will always rescue us, even if everyone else forgets about us.

2 Timothy 4:17

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.

And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.

Do You Know Christ?

Many have opened their eyes not only to Satan and his darkness, but to light and to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Only Jesus is the Way to the Father.

All you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart. You don't have to do any other action or work.

Just believe.

Acts 26:18

… to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Prayer of Salvation

Now go tell someone, and be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!
