Just a fresh and airy note that it sure does feel good to see Twitter heading in the right direction. On Sundays, I’ll post my Top 5 Tweets for you.
1. Verified Profiles on Twitter Now $8/Month
Elon wants the “blue check mark” verified accounts to now be more accessible to others than those Twitter holds special favors with: for $8/month, you just verify you’re a real person instead of a bot. And you help get Elon Musk some of his bank loans paid off.
It has special features like top news items, the ability to edit your tweets, and more. Some complain it will push non-verified tweets to the bottom of the barrel, but maybe some of those millions of profiles will be bots who will drown themselves out.
I haven’t decided whether or not to do this, but I am prone to join just to keep my voice and access additional features. My Substack posts to Twitter, so helping my Twitter helps my Substack and vice versa.
