Satanic Golden Statue Celebrates Abortion as Co-Commissioned by the University of Houston: As it Went Up Yesterday, A Prayer and Protest was Held by TexasRightToLife.com
It showcases just one alternative to pregnancy for students walking on campus, and does not offer the clear choice of blessing a new life, and carrying a pregnancy to God's fruition and new life.
Some say this golden, horned statue bears an obvious resemblance to that of the goat-like “Baphomet,” promoted by The Satanic Temple (TST).
I spoke to Kim at TexasRightToLife.com today, and asked about the Abortion Statue going up yesterday at University of Houston’s Cullen Family Plaza. She relayed that they held a prayer rally and protest and is “really pleased” with how it went. Attendees included students from the University of Houston, surrounding schools, and the local community.
About 450 people gathered from all walks of life prayed and expressed opposition to what the University of Houston has done by co-commissioning this statue.
Kim relayed that the common sentiment was that this statue “sends the wrong message” to students walking on campus, that abortion is the answer to pregnancy - and it does not provide for an alternative message that espouses God’s gift of life, nor assistance with a pregnancy.
Many protestors also expressed disgust that this statue showcases death instead of life.
