I'd like to see your story heard in classrooms as part of lessons on "freedom gone wrong." As a matter of fact, a whole book on the subject of what violations of human rights are going on around the world. A book would be great, along with lesson plans for each grade. Two year olds can start with the vocabulary development. Of course, never set out to scare scare the kids or make the world seem dangerous... only to make them feel strong and to coax to higher and higher levels of understanding. There is a pretty good group out there called Youth for Human Rights who have started work in this area.
The purpose of Youth for Human Rights International is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspire them to become valuable advocates for tolerance and peace.
Children are the future. They need to know their human rights and know that they must take responsibility to protect themselves and their peers. As they become aware and active in this cause, the message travels far and wide, and someday universal human rights will be a fact, not just an idealistic dream.
The United Nations General Assembly proposed that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights “be disseminated, displayed, read and expounded principally in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction based on the political status of countries or territories” (United Nations, 1948).
The charter of Youth for Human Rights International is to forward that aim with simple yet empowering, high-quality human rights education materials for youth, teachers, officials—anyone.
“We are here because we know that literacy is the key to unlocking the cage of human misery; the key to delivering the potential of every human being; the key to opening up a future of freedom and hope. We are here to open a decade that must translate that hope into reality.” —Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General, United Nations

That's very sweet, and also an interesting thought for our youth.
I looked them up, managed by the Church of Scientology and an official outreach of the UN that expands on the UN's Declaration of Human Rights.

There's also a Youth for Freedom that has an annual leadership camp for ages 11-18:

That's getting into it in a way it deserves!
Not sure that I trust the UN for anything... wish we would pull out. Surely another beneficial organization can do some great good;)
I don't trust the UN either... but there seems to be an "old entanglement" here.
👌
