Just hours ago, Israel and Hamas have agreed in a formal deal to pause bilateral fighting for the release of 50 Israeli hostages being held in Gaza.
It is unknown exactly when the deal will be implemented, but if it is successful, it will be hailed as the first real break in fighting since October 7th.
Hamas reportedly said this deal will allow for hundreds items of medical supplies, humanitarian aid, and fuel into Gaza.
As part of the agreement, Hamas reportedly stated that 150 Palestinian women and teenagers are to be released from Israeli jails.
The Israeli government has voiced an opinion that this is not the end of the war, and instead has reiterated its position and commitment to "complete the elimination of Hamas".
According to Israeli government officials, this hostage release and cease-fire deal was brokered by Qatari negotiators.
This is a continuing story and we wanted to bring you the good news that the killing is set to stop. Please remain in prayer.
