July Brought the Heat and August is "Let's Keep Praying for Scott Schara's Case" Month
Keep up with Schara vs. Ascension Health - for your future care, especially if you are alone in the hospital and oversedated by the nurses and doctors
Scott’s an update on the landmark Schara vs. Ascension Health case, the courtroom in July, and THE WIN as the Judge did not dismiss the case, despite the plaintiff’s request.
July Brought the Heat as The Courtroom Got Hot for the Defendants
It was the best day Scott had since the day Grace died. I think the defense was wiggling in their chairs as that decision was made in a packed courtroom.
Starting in November, 2024 (seems like such a faraway date), Schara vs. Ascension Health was awarded a 3-week jury trial.
On the selected date, I am honored that in Scott’s Substack, he had a special paragraph that mentioned my name (my emphases):
That may seem like a long wait for justice – and it is – but the family is incredibly grateful that their legal team succeeded in procuring a trial. The first hearing resulted in the judge not granting the defense’s motion to partially dismiss the case, which is what the defense wanted. For more information on the case, please visit this wonderful post by Dr. Margaret Aranda on our Substack.
Supporters of the Schara family packed the courtroom in Appleton, WI July 14 and heard firsthand the news that the case will go to trial in November 2024.
While the next 16 months will be full of court preparations for the Schara’s and their legal team, it has been slated as a landmark case - because there could be thousands of additional cases such as the case of Grace Schara.
All the Best to Kevin Tuttle, Departing Editor for the Schara’s
Kevin has been very instrumental in putting forth this case and we wish him well as he moves to Israel so that he can be near family. As time goes by and more preparations are made, we hope that additional lawsuits against hospitals, doctors, and nurses, continue. Certainly, they have all set the stage for the rest of us, including an amended complaint (see article below).

Let Grace Teach You: Don’t Go Into Surgery - or Into the Hospital without Medical Directives
Did you write your medical directives yet?
Please remain vigilant for your family and friends, so that you can help protect them from harm.
A Medical Directive is today’s necessity for anyone that is going for elective surgery or into the ER or hospital.
Make sure you are not treated with legalized euthanasia.
I am sorry, but hospitals get paid for doing certain things: admitting with a COVID diagnosis (even for a broken arm), giving Veklury/remdesivir antiviral (even during kidney failure or dialysis), and putting patients on a ventilator, plus saying they died of COVID on the Cause of Death (even if it wasn’t the cause).
