I am seeing content coming in via email that I don’t see on substack. Will this censorship continue after Trump takes office? I quit Twitter 6 years ago then opened a new account this past year. I’m not a big fan. Not sure what Elon’s intentions are on X. Is it free speech or something else? Rarely use it except for the recent events with the hurricanes and following You and Shawn and a few others. It seemed to be the main source for information on the conditions there. My own friend that lives there in Franklin was in the dark about how severe the conditions that were not far from her early on.
I have a question about content that is locked for paid subscribers only, since I can’t afford to pay for everyone I subscribe to. Even as a paid subscriber to some that come to my email box, I open and when I try to comment or share which takes me into the substack app and then I’m blocked and get an error when trying to share. I was thinking about unsubscribing to these accounts but then I wouldn’t get the email either. I believe their content is of significance and probably why it’s being censored, so I am taking a wait and see. As with all these platforms, AI is listening to everything. I have another phone line with a different carrier for personal use. Not associated with social media & no camera. I imagine I will dump the smart devices at some point and pull the plug if my privacy continues to be subverted by these things.

If Xitter were truly about free speech, there would be no restrictions for links and such.

Substack Notes doesn't work well. It's just a short note and you can't have a conservation as anyone else's replies are hidden. I don't think the app works so well as computer.

on his platform but what happened and IS happening to me is NOT free speech
I was permanently suspended in June of '23 and it lasted 17 months. . .MY
reinstatement only happened because I addressed what THEY called threatening/advocating violence
I spoke the truth about those who have betrayed their oaths, the same I took when I entered the Navy as a line officer, and I cited
appropriate punishment. I also named names. . .

I blocked the one who called me unhinged for my comments about
the censorship that IS on Twitter.
The worst case was earlier when I was told by someone, via DM, to delete all
my profile, which identifies entirely, and add c**t
I told him same about making it personal. I have also been challenged
numerous times for my service including some who have said "YOU were not in country. Just STFU about it (Vietnam)"
While that is true, I worked in positions in communications and intelligence that were critical to the war effort to combatants who were in country.
