Notice they said last confirmed location was around the 9th, which doesn't necessarily mean she last communicated on the 9th. For example, she could've stopped communicating before the 9th, and her last phone signal picked up on the 9th. (Anyway, that's more for an investigator.)
But regardless, the question now is, "Why did she stop keeping contact?"
She is brilliant, but I don't know what her survival skills are like.
I don't know how it's like where she is: What's the crime rate?
Will she stand out? Can she speak the local language?

The thing that stood out to me is the family has been in continuous contact with her since July 30th, last had communication with her on August 9th and didn't report her missing until yesterday. Continuous contact, then nine days go by without communication, and you wait that entire time before reporting her missing? I feel like something is off.
- Once it was revealed that Karen had not checked out from her hotel as previously planned, efforts turned toward a ‘missing person’ case, which garnered more authoritative cooperation but did not become official until confirmation was obtained.
- Acquiring specific hotel information on Karen's whereabouts presented with significant barriers: language, guest privacy policies, and management schedules. Confounding variables on the family’s side included such issues as not knowing the room number. The family was left with multiple, distressing hurdles that were painstakingly overcome, one after the other.
- There was a significant and unfortunate delay in obtaining details from the hotel that allowed for the establishment of a missing person’s case.
- Be advised that family and friends have been feverishly working to locate Karen and will not stop until she is home.
I hope you can read between the lines and imagine the family's plight. And thank you for continuing to pray for Karen - we hope she is hiding out safely and will come to light when she thinks God wants her to do so.

Why, if she feared the CIA, would she give out her location? I suppose those that wanted to find her could find her, ping her phone, track and trace her since they have ways to find people if they so choose to find them. I thought she asked for Malone's help because she said the CIA was after her and she felt he could help her? Does anyone know if he attempted to help her? What a mess! You should read his substack about it, he was rather defensive. Now he’s appearing to help . Probably after seeing everyone so upset at his writing. He’s insinuating she’s unwell because of malaria or malaria medication, that’s not the accurate situation, from viewing Karen’s post and interviews.
I saw Ms. Kingston speak about why she felt she had to flee. She didn't appear to be someone who needs medical attention. She didn't appear to be unwell. I suppose when one feels they are being literally hunted and feels their life may be in danger and they may be killed, one appears to be frantic and somewhat troubled, because they feel they have a reason to be frantic and troubled. They feel they are fighting to remain alive. That's a big deal of adrenaline pumping. Whatever is going on, where ever Ms. Kingston is, I hope she's found alive no matter what the situation. It appeared during her live video, she felt for the safety of her son and her mother, she had to flee to keep them safe. She waa appealing for help from two high profile people she mentioned in her video who I assume have connections to help her, no matter what the situation that caused her to remove herself from her family is.

I’m not impressed with Malone’s Substack about Karen. Nearly all the comments are fawning over Malone and obsequious (does he write them himself?) Maline appears desperate for the affirmation - it’s really very cringe. There are a lot of accusations that Karen is ‘not right in the head’ which Malone appears to approve of. I get no sense he has any particular regard for her safety.

The thing that stood out to me is the family has been in continuous contact with her since July 30th, last had communication with her on August 9th and didn't report her missing until yesterday. Continuous contact, then nine days go by without communication, and you wait that entire time before reporting her missing? I feel like something is off.

Confounding variables on the family’s side included such issues as not knowing the room number. The family was left with multiple, distressing hurdles that were painstakingly overcome, one after the other.
- There was a significant and unfortunate delay in obtaining details from the hotel that allowed for the establishment of a missing person’s case.
- Be advised that family and friends have been feverishly working to locate Karen and will not stop until she is home.
I hope you can read between the lines and imagine the family's plight. And thank you for continuing to pray for Karen - we hope she is hiding out safely and will come to light when she thinks God wants her to do so.

Karen Kingston posted a 38 min. long video on August 12, IIRC or possibly Aug. 13. In it, she stated she was staying at the Barcelo Maya Hotel in Mexico. The family says last time they heard from her was Aug. 9 and the don't know where she is - that makes NO sense. I would think they would have heard of her video and watched it. Something is not right here. Here is the video - if you read the text below the video, you will see the name of the hotel posted and you can click on the link to go to the hotel website.

Americans are kidnapping targets in most of Mexico. About the only place I’ve heard that is still somewhat safe is the southern part of Sur Baja Cali. Until it isn’t. Pretty much if you go to Mexico nowadays you lack sense.
