ADDENDUM 8/21/23: KAREN CONTACTED HER FAMILY! SHE IS WELL! “Since Karen arrived in Mexico, we have maintained continuous communication with her since July 30, 2023. However, her last confirmed location was on August 9, 2023. In light of recent information received by the family, we have taken the necessary steps to officially report Karen as a missing person in Mexico.
Okay, so they were keeping contact: continuously since the 30th, and her last confirmed location was around the 9th.
Notice they said last confirmed location was around the 9th, which doesn't necessarily mean she last communicated on the 9th. For example, she could've stopped communicating before the 9th, and her last phone signal picked up on the 9th. (Anyway, that's more for an investigator.)
But regardless, the question now is, "Why did she stop keeping contact?"
She is brilliant, but I don't know what her survival skills are like.
I don't know how it's like where she is: What's the crime rate?
Will she stand out? Can she speak the local language?
Did she lose her stuff or get robbed?
Can she fight? Does she have some way to protect herself?
Karen Kingston posted a 38 min. long video on August 12, IIRC or possibly Aug. 13. In it, she stated she was staying at the Barcelo Maya Hotel in Mexico. The family says last time they heard from her was Aug. 9 and the don't know where she is - that makes NO sense. I would think they would have heard of her video and watched it. Something is not right here. Here is the video - if you read the text below the video, you will see the name of the hotel posted and you can click on the link to go to the hotel website.
If I were her the LAST thing I would want is to be found, and if my family was colluding with my enemy I wouldn’t tell them either. I’ve done this before when I couldn’t trust a family member who kept giving our stalker information. They got the picture and never did it again. We moved from Ohio to CT to get away from her, with no info what so ever shared.
