Hey Margaret, I know you have been involved in these rescue efforts. I was thinking that many of these people may be facing a dismal Christmas. Do you know of anyone that is collecting names of families, particularly with young children that need help providing Christmas for their families? It would be fantastic if someone collected a list of needs, but also a list of wishes (for parents and children) and people could help by Christmas shopping for them to remove some of the burden they are facing and helping to make it a Merry Christmas for them and their families.
I am working to take inventory of needs, but it's very difficult to do that without being on the ground. People don't always answer their phones or emails because they're so busy and tired.
See the Shared Google Doc, needs updating. The children's needs at Kaylee's Kids were initially met but they are definitely in need for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
That comes from MANY YEARS of praying and then knowing God's 'answer' always makes itself known to my soul at JUST the right time and in JUST the right way!!
Your awesome, Margaret. I wish I could join you. I'm tapped out for the short term after my last trip. I hope to recoup enough and get involved again by Spring.
I relate to our age issue and the distances we travel to get to these zones. I slept in a tent the first night in a KOA after a 20 hour drive before getting a church room floor to lay down on with fellow volunteers. I'm not set up for winter camping at this time, nor have an RV. I am glad that those that do are getting involved, and that RVs are being gifted to some in need.
There is so much more that can be done if funds and lodging were available. The combined efforts and talents of all who are involved is encouraging and hopeful. The will to survive is immeasurable, especially when others show they care.. The latter gives people in a seemingly hopeless situation, hope. And this is gold.
Keep up the good work. I'm praying for good weather throughout this winter, and that all who are affected in those mountains can keep their fires burning and water clean until some stability and access returns.
BTW, has anyone heard from Trump on this issue yet?
So the guys who save families have to black out their faces in the photos just in case while the people who are breaking up the families swank it up. Yep, that's the size of it.
The link does not work. 🧐
The correct link to the Shared Google Doc, thank you:

“ government can’t help, but they take kids away”
New government in sight, not too soon.
May this be a huge change!

This is awesome!
Thank you! Now we need to try to figure things out for children and Christmas presents! I wish I had help!
I'm searching through options...
God has blessed them. I pray they pass it forward.
Indeed! I think everyone is really trying to help as many people as possible.
Thank you once again, Margaret, for sharing this VERY HELPFUL effort by Shawn (I saw your prayer for him and that will be my prayer for him as well.
SHALOM, fellow sister in Christ.

There is nothing like the power of prayer, Amen!
We call upon our MAGNIFICENT JEHOVAH JIREH and He HEARS and ANSWERS - not always as we had hoped--but He knows us better than WE do!!
🙌 I LOVE THIS! 🙏

Awesome. Many thanks to these people for their sense in what is needed and providing it with hands on. They are saving lives.
Thank God that Shawn is there! I know that the same people are still helping on the ground and they still need more volunteers! 🙌
We are going to go back. 12+ hours drive... wish we were younger 😂 and could sleep better in a camper 🙌
Now that the winter is moving in, there will be more deaths from the cold... I am going to make some phone calls and see what more I can do from afar.

This is exactly the type of supplies people need! More than a roaming digital gulag, masked as "community outreach" by Verizon and Musk:
