Is the Trump soon-to-be administration not involving itself in chivvying up help for these people? Or is this something they can't do yet? I'm from the UK and don't know how disaster relief happens in the US, apart from FEMA - which has clearly failed.
I think he and Elon have been helping. I live here and I can tell you they will do everything in their power to keep Trump from intervening. And they are using FEMA to turn people and charities away by using bogus and criminal reasons. Once he is sworn it, they can’t stop him and you watch he will react and help these people. Don’t let your country tell you anything different. His record from his past administration proves he did almost everything he said he would do and more. ❤️
Thanks for that explanation. Trump has produced some results in other policy areas already, and I was hoping that these people wouldn't be left out. It sounds absolutely dreadful, and quite the opposite to what government should be doing. Hope that FEMA etc. are held accountable but there's so many other things to be done in the 4 years.
If Trump can also roll back other craziness like DEI and climate change, so many people in the UK are desperate for the same to happen here, where the government has lost the plot and is imprisoning people for stupid tweets. That's how low we've sunk. Enough to drive you mad.

If only they couldn't get away with it, but we are stuck with this administration for another 4+ years because of the Fixed Parliament Act which states that any ruling party has a right to be in place for 5 years. You may have seen that has already been a UK petition of well over 2.5 million signatures saying that it's time for a general election. It went viral, unsurprisingly. It's not binding on anyone, but the people in power are just as corrupt as the last lot, taking bribes and doing things for their own good.
I wiah prayers would do it, but revolution would be another option!

I am waiting to see the resignations, the fake deaths, and the people leaving this country. I am an old timer and you don’t leave a country unless you’re scared of something! Sure, if you’re rich you can have properties all over the world, but how many famous or political people leave their gravy trains?🤷♂️

It's frightening to think where we'll all end up if we can't turn this around. "Fight, fight, fight" sums it all up!

In the beginning of this there were toxins everywhere that required hazmat suits and protection for the search dogs, has that abated or is it just in certain areas?

That has absted in that there have not been any reports in the last month or more.
