I loved Asheville so much that we came very close to selling our AL homestead to move somewhere in that area back in 2014. After much discussion, we decided that at our age it would've been too much work to rebuild an entire homestead from scratch. It takes years to turn raw forest land into a place fit to raise farm animals and grow large gardens. We had already done once and that was enough. Lol
But we used to travel through NC quite frequently and most of the youtube channels who had inspired me to grow more food, actually the majority of it lived in NC, specifically the Asheville area. WNC makes my heart sing. To me it is the most beautiful place. I couldn't believe what happened there and never dreamed it could. I'm a native floridian so no stranger to hurricanes but to see one go hundreds of miles north into the mountains and such damage tells me that it wasn't a natural occurrence. I believe weather manipulation was the cause. I pray for those residents daily.
You're really amazing at the sheer VOLUME of helpful info you share on your Substack - I haven't seen any one else on this "writers' platform with the 'back story' info that you share, Margaret.
BTW...your book on Lower Back Pain - does it address therapies that WORK for spinal stenosis--my dear guy friend was diagnosed with S.S. in 2019 and in the last 5 years, he's aged about 15 years because of the constant, debilitating pain that the mild opiate he started taking about 8 months ago 'somewhat' relieves....better than the spinal injections of cortisone (after 2 of them...the rest he had gave him almost ZERO relief). Do not recommend surgery (laminectomy is what the surgeon wanted him to undergo--after I did my research, we both agreed it was a 'no win' procedure). Thank you if you can share any holistic approach to this lower back pain issue.
We are in the other side of the world yet our hearts are with all of you May G_d protect each soul on those so hard circumstances and all of us to continue to go ahead. I can only spread your post Dr Aranda, I will love to do more G_d bless you! ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐๏ธ
The information I shared a few days ago from SAMARITAN'S PURSE was particularly helpful as Franklin Graham grew up in western NC and his parents' ministry's library is located in Asheville (damaged now--but salvageable). I pray earnestly for healing earth angels to descend on this devastated part of our country and I know, in my heart of hearts, this hurricane was somehow 'engineered' to go 'off course' and turn into a ravaging whirlwind of rain, mud and destruction to ALL LIFE in its path. It really is a miracle that the deaths were in the hundreds instead of the tens of thousands (although this part of NC is not nearly as heavily populated as the Research Triangle area.
Dr Margaret are the heaters needed just the little ones that plug in and rotate? Or something else? Should I include extension cords? Outdoor or indoor ones? I will send some to the Wesleyan church address.

What a lovely experience, and yes!!
Homesteading is a LOT of work ~ just look at how skinny all the farmers are:)!
I Absolutely believe it's weather modification, lots of wind noved into Asheville last night and they suffered power loss here and there... ๐
This document has already been edited to reflect a new Sheet on RVs and Campers.
Thank you for checking it out!
