Can you please post a link so we can check it out? Have you tried using it to look at blood, and can it take pictures of your slides? Thank you for your post 🤗

Microscopes attracted me to biology in grade school.

Especially pond water as a kid. Later, blood cells in high school.

Thanks for this “reminder” Amanda !

I hope you can set one up and join in. Pond water is quite interesting, indeed! I can find some not too far away. Can you?

Here is the link to some pics from my budget scope from Temu. 8 have had a few of these but none with 1080 res until now. If you get one fix it to a table and move your spec under it. Double tap screen for pic . When USO g the buttons to snap a shot it inevitably will move however I am about as dexterous as an elephant with small things. Like last night was soldering with temp set at 340c anand fumbled everything. The only thing I caught was the hit end if the soldering iron. Only I could do it.

I have a koi pond with wonderfully rich biodiversity thriving in all its splendor. We don’t even have to treat the water any more as the bacteria has finally gotten to an excellent balance. Took a few years to get it right. We even have a microscope we bought to try to diagnose our koi who at the time were suffering from a suspected fluke infestation.

Be careful what you wish for Dr aranda, it seems from all I’ve seen that the blood is not looking good. Looking forward to your own observations, from a perspective of someone I sort of almost know. It might even get me to dig mine out! Have you invested in a home made “dark field” as this is apparently the best way to look at what is happening in the blood from what I’ve seen.

Much appreciated! Thank you! I am sure this will be interesting. I had wanted to do a lesson on “virus vs no virus” but don't feel it is relevant when we can just look under a microscope and treat “it” ourselves.

🙌

You will need an atomic/electron microscope to see a virus but the world of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and organelles, nutritional defencies and hydrogels along with what Dr Ana calls synthetic incubators. You will see graphene dots and ribbons like I've seen.

I'll be glad to help you if I can. Patti RN BSN

Wish I could afford it, my phone just died, I had just enough to buy another brand new white one on ebay.

The last 4G Note on the market, the Note 10 plus(a 4 year old model, that's still great), which cost $275 tax included. Living on $700 amonth with my 2 doggies, ain't easy.

I patiently wait and pray for miracles! Then I'll buy a quantum, Electron, microscope. That would be so cool!!! 🙌🙏🙏🙏🤍 Om Swastiastu!!! 🕉 Blessings to you Reverend Margaret!

I had spinal surgery 4 times in the last 30 yrs, plus I have PTSD and Iguess Bipolar. So i really can't find a job at the moment. If I do get a job and make any money, they will take my $700 benifits away and my low income apartment.

Nobody in the world talks to me for 5 years, not even my 4 siblings or my best friends of 40 years. mainly because I didn’t get the jibbyjab jewpoison injection. I tried to warn them, but they just told me not to push my beliefs on them! It's so ridiculous. I told them I dont have beliefs, I have knowledge of the Truth of God the Creator, that they are injecting in their arms is a Bio-Weapon poison. Now, i bet they will be even more silent because they are probably so ashamed of not listening to me! I dont think they will ever even be able to apologize for the way they treated me these last 5 years. I’m okay, though, Margaret! I don’t have any family or friends any moreI so I just got to live in the present and not let worry and fearmongering affect me from the truth! Only the Creator knows what the plan is. Good night, Doctor.

I also wanted to thank you, Margaret for helping me get started on Substack, I love it!😘

Just watch us and we'll see which microscope people have and which one might be the best (and at what most reasonable price).

I pray your projects get finished soon!

A Usb scope demo Temu for around 20bucks with 1080 res. Little bit hard to get used to but if you fix it in position it's OK.

Dr. Aranda, I am so excited to see this. Months ago I purchased a used microscope via a second hand website. As it turns out, the seller was the widow of a neurologist at Washington University! $35 dollars later it was mine. I purchase it with the sole intention of looking at dental anesthesia which I obtained from my dentist, along with looking at my own unjabbed blood. No literature came with it so I’m rather clueless. Tried to look it up but I think it’s a custom job! Nikon but with various serial numbers on different parts. My microscope years are long before yours at 1991! Eager to learn though…and explore.

Why don't you post a picture of your scope. Maybe I can help you figure some things out. Nikons are high end scopes!

This is AMAZING! I wonder if you know my friend Elizabeth who went to ORU but then was transferred to Loma Linda. Anyway, I looked at my blood using a microscope and slides and was shocked at the “clutter” beyond red blood cells.

May I recommend scanning your local classifieds on second-hand apps such as Offer-Up. That's where I got my cherished Olympus BH2. It's an old scope but sturdy as a work-horse. With a little pit of research and patience, it can be a great means of procuring higher-end scopes that would otherwise probably just sit around collecting dust.

Microscopes are one of those specialty implements that aren't necessarily in high demand, but can also be incredibly expensive. That combination makes them one of those items you can occasionally snag at amazing bargain prices if you know where to look.

School/college supply wholesalers are another potential resource.
